Konjac sponge – The No. 1 beauty tool
The Konjac sponge is an amazing beauty tool that exfoliates your skin to use in your daily beauty routine.
It is made of the root of the Konjac plant. The Japanese have used it for over 100 years because of its medical and natural benefits. Being a 100% bio-degradable, cruelty-free, vegan product, Konjac sponges are not only great for your health and skin but also for the environment.
The Konjac sponge contains antioxidants and vitamins that replenish the skin while reducing any signs of premature aging.
Prepare
The Konjac sponge is making your skin extremely clean without drying it out. It is a naturally alkaline plant and won’t damage the epidermis of your skin.
Soak your Konjac sponge in water for 1 minute. Wash your face with lukewarm water, put cleanser on your sponge (or use it without any cleanser) and massage your face with the sponge in circular motions. Focus on areas with a lot of whiteheads and blackheads or other blemishes. You only need to use a small drop of your cleanser, the Konjac sponge will make it foam.
Gentle cleansing
One of the benefits of the Konjac sponge is that it is a very gentle cleanser. This product is okay for those with sensitive skin and will not damage your skin cells. They can even be used to shower babies! The sponges are so soft and make a perfect sponge for baby bath time.
Konjac sponges can also remove stubborn sunscreens that stick to your skin and cannot be washed easily by a cleanser.
Regular scrubbing will make your skin smooth and silky. The longer you use the Konjac sponge, the better your skin should look.
After every use squeeze all the excess water out of your Konjac sponge, so it does not harbour any bacteria. Hang it up in a not moist environment and leave it to dry.
There are other konjac sponge skin benefits worth mentioning. These include the practicality of using one product versus too many skin care products on your shelf. But because the Konjac sponge is dispensable, you must replace it every now and then so that it doesn’t breed germs, and the germs do not get transferred to your face.
Goodgirl xo-tip: To make your skin even softer after use, use moisturizer.
Dispose of the sponge
If you’re not going to replace the Konjac sponges regularly, you will end up having pimples and blackheads again. Make hygiene your priority! You can dispose your sponge, by simple adding it to your organic trash or compost it. Or add it to the soil in your garden.
