Konjac Sponge FAQs

Konjac Sponge FAQs
Why is your Konjac Sponge shipped dry?
Our Konjac Sponge products are dry sponges that are sealed and packaged carefully. The dry state allows our Konjac Sponge to be packaged and stored without using any preservative agents as opposed to wet Konjac Sponge.
2. How long does a Konjac Sponge last if it's used daily?
Because our Konjac Sponge is a natural vegetable sponge and contains no preservative or additive agents, the natural fiber is likely to decompose faster if compared to synthetic fiber. If the sponge is used daily, we recommend to replace the sponge around 4-6 weeks after the first day of use. If you do not use the sponge on daily basis, it will last longer.
3. Is it safe for babies?
Yes. The sponge is made from Konjac root and when covered with water, the Konjac layer is also slightly alkaline which works well to neutralize slightly acidic grime. This layer helps to break down blackheads, dirt, oil and downy hair and rinses them away, leaving skin fresh and clean, even without the use of soap. It is still used today for babies. The soft texture of the sponge, along with natural non toxic cleaning agents makes it an ideal tool for cleansing baby's soft skin.
4. How to clean Konjac Sponge after using it?
It's important to always rinse the sponge with clean running warm water after using it. Using clean hands, press the sponge gently in between palms to drain water out. Do not twist, squeeze, or press the sponge too hard as it may damage the sponge. Hang the sponge in a well-ventilated area to dry it. Do not expose the sponge to direct sunlight and do not leave the sponge in humid place for hygienic reason. Alternatively, keep the sponge in a container and store it in a refrigerator.
